What exactly does Vyqube do?

We source, evaluate and move end-of-life material and retired assets. Where a transaction is commercially viable we buy the material and resell it. Where it is not, we identify a suitable downstream buyer and coordinate the transaction between you and that buyer. Our role covers sourcing, information collection, evaluation, inspection coordination where required, commercial coordination, pickup and logistics coordination, documentation and transaction management.

Is Vyqube a recycler?

No. Vyqube is not a recycler. Recycling and refurbishment are carried out by downstream partners. We handle the sourcing, evaluation, commercial and coordination side of the transaction.

Which materials do you deal in?

Four streams: E-Waste (electronic and electrical material), G-Waste (glass), P-Waste (plastic) and H-Waste (material requiring controlled handling). H-Waste is assessed case by case before acceptance.

Do you work with individuals or only businesses?

Both. We work with businesses across sizes and sectors, and with individual and household sellers. Share what you have and we will confirm whether we can buy it or arrange a suitable buyer.

Do you buy the material, or just connect me to a buyer?

Either, depending on the material and the commercials. When direct purchase is viable, we buy from you and resell. When it is not, we facilitate a direct transaction with a suitable downstream buyer and coordinate it.

Who are the downstream buyers?

Accepted Answer

They can include recyclers, refurbishers and other suitable buyers such as processors, traders or end-users. The buyer is selected based on the material type, condition and transaction feasibility.

Do you refurbish or recycle in-house?

No. Refurbishment and recycling are performed by partner organisations. We assess the material, decide the appropriate route and coordinate the transaction and movement.

What happens if Vyqube does not purchase my material?

We do not simply decline and leave it there. Where direct purchase is not commercially viable for us, we look for a suitable downstream buyer — a recycler, refurbisher, processor or end-user — and coordinate the transaction between you and that buyer. If no suitable route exists for that material at all, we tell you plainly instead of keeping the enquiry open.

Do you work with recyclers and refurbishers?

Yes. Recyclers and refurbishers are the main downstream partners we route material to, alongside processors, traders and end-users. Working equipment is considered for reuse or refurbishment before it is routed for material recovery.

Is inspection required?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the material. Working equipment such as laptops, phones and appliances is usually verified — through photographs and a device report, or physically where the value or quantity justifies it. Graded material such as glass and plastic may be checked through a sample. For H-Waste, inspection is generally required before any commitment.

How is material value evaluated?

We record the material type, condition, completeness, quantity, packaging and location, and assess that against demand for the material at the time. For equipment, configuration and working state matter most; for bulk material, grade, segregation and contamination matter most. The basis for the number is shared with you.

Can individuals sell material?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Individuals and households can sell single items such as a laptop, mobile, appliance or an accumulated lot of electronics. Share the item details and photographs and we will confirm the route. Very small quantities may not be viable to collect, and we will say so rather than leave it unanswered.

Can businesses sell bulk material in volume?

Yes. Bulk and recurring consignments are the core of our business — refresh-cycle IT hardware, plant clearances, warehouse accumulations and packaging material generated on a cycle. We work from an asset list where one exists and coordinate multi-site pickups through a single point of contact.

How does pickup work?

Accepted Answer

Once the material has been evaluated and terms are agreed in writing, we schedule a collection window based on your location, quantity, site access and loading arrangement, and coordinate movement to the agreed destination. Handover records are captured at collection.

Do you guarantee a price?

No. We do not offer instant or guaranteed pricing. Value depends on the material, its condition, the quantity and the market at the time, and it is confirmed after evaluation and, where applicable, inspection. What we do commit to is explaining the basis for the number before you agree to anything.

Is there a minimum quantity?

There is no fixed minimum. Feasibility depends on material type, quantity and location, and we confirm it before scheduling a pickup.

How quickly can a pickup happen?

Do you cover multiple locations?

Multi-site and repeat consignments are coordinated through a single point of contact. Coverage for a specific location is confirmed at enquiry stage.

How is the price decided?

Price depends on the material type, condition, quantity and the market at the time of the transaction. We share an indicative basis before pickup and confirm the final value after inspection where inspection applies. We do not promise a highest-price guarantee.

When do I get paid?

Settlement follows the terms agreed for that transaction. In a facilitated transaction, payment terms are agreed directly between you and the downstream buyer, with our coordination.

What documentation will I receive?

You receive the consignment record, transaction terms and handover records we maintain. Where a downstream partner issues its own documentation for the material it processes, we share that with you. We do not guarantee certificates that are outside our control to issue.

How is data on storage devices handled?

The handling method — software erasure or physical destruction — is agreed with you before collection and coordinated with the partner performing it. Documentation follows the form confirmed in the engagement scope.

Can our team witness the handling?

Witnessed handling can be arranged on request, subject to the partner and the location, and is confirmed as part of the engagement scope.

How is the transaction tracked?

Each engagement is recorded digitally against one reference, from enquiry and evaluation through routing, pickup and closure, so both sides work from the same record.
